October 29, 2016 Junket to Chapel Hill to Visit Christopher Barbee's Land Donation to the Nations First Public University and Other Barbee Sites

Leonard Barbee Wiggins (grandson of BAXTER BAYNARD BARBEE) hosted the family and lead the tour providing information about each site visited. Also particiating in the tour were:

  • Shirley Irene Barbee Bryan (grand daughter of BAXTER BAYNARD BARBEE) and Vic Bryan (Shirley's husband)
  • Jessica Meymandi (great grand daughter of BAXTER BAYNARD BARBEE and daughter of Shirley and Vic Bryan)
  • Ann Cooper Schout (great grand daughter of MARTHA LAURIA BARBEE)
  • Susan Wyatt Morton Pridgen (grand daughter of JOSEPH CHARLES BARBEE)
  • Caroline Wyatt Pridgen Orman (great grand daughter of JOSEPH CHARLES BARBEE and Susan Pridgen’s daughter)
  • Catherine Wyatt Orman (great, great grand daughter of JOSEPH CHARLES BARBEE and Catherine Wyatt Orman's daughter)
  • Louisa Barbee Morton Ringo ( grand daughter of JOSEPH CHARLES BARBEE)
  • Janet Ellen Morton Peterson (grand daughter of CADER GORDON BARBEE) and Mark Peterson (Janet's husband)
  • Ann Celeste Morton Davis {grand daughter of CADER GORDON BARBEE)
  • Susan Gail Barbee Thomas {grand daughter of CADER GORDON BARBEE and wife of Johnny Thomas))
  • Johnny Odell Thomas (great grand son of WILLIAM MINTER BARBEE husband of Susan Thomas)
